This is a screen recorded video of my interactive piece, I actually did want a "posh british accent" for the voice but I couldn't find one but I'm happy with the end product. Please tell me what you think, Feed back is always good. :)

New Type Design "The Life of Type"

Well I wanted to try a new font out and how I could portray type through a "one liner", like the one I have used "The Life of Type".

I used a modern looking font(I suppose) with a 3D style effect to go with it. I also used my favourite colour. . .which is obviously orange. :)

Anyway I hope you enjoy it and I wouldn't mind some feedback. . .good and also constructive criticism please. Thank youuuuuuu :)

Okay well I was just on facebook and someone posted this video up, so I thought why not watch it. If i'm honest i'm really glad I watched it because you

can now see some truth that the 'governments' of the world are CLEARLY lying and trying to protect themselves. THE MASS MEDIA.

☂1920s/1940s inspiration

Well today when I got up my mother was playing a song called Real Pretty Mama Blues and basically I just got a huge inspiring moment. So today all I have done is researched the 1920s/1940s and I have come across some pretty awesome things, for example they had slang back in them times.

-Sinker ~ a doughnut

-Sheba ~ a woman with sex appeal (from the movie "Queen of Sheba"; Clara Bow)

-Kisser ~ mouth

I found this site rather inspiring because it gave me the idea to write a love letter in my sketch book, the letter I wrote is about a guy that goes off to war and has left his sweetheart at home and writes to her, telling her that he wants to marry her once he comes back home and he just states that he loves his miss. :)

Okay another thing I absolutely love is the pin up girls in the 1940s, the art work is amazing.

There are some examples;

The last image of the pin up girl's is a rather modern one for obvious reason, I seen and thought I like the illustration, so I chipped it in. :)

Okay so today what I actually did was create a 1920s-1940s theme in my sketch book and I found it rather fun, I took some photos of the pages. I reckon they are pretty cool. :)

Okay i'm slightly bored at like 2:39am..really loving how I can't sleep! I'm tired but I can't seem to turn the switch off to sleep, I think i'm worrying? About all this uni stuff and FMP shizzel...like seriously I just need to chill and start doing what I love best which is designing. I should really start doing some director stuff but i'll do that once all my planning is perfect and I when I feel ready enough to start doing it(which won't be long).

But like yeah I think because raj said our blogs should be all about are FMP's that we are just sticking to putting things that relate to are FMP's?...but I think I want to involve everything todo with my life at the moment because it all plays a part in my FMP.

Well I got a letter from swansea met the other day and I like nearly jumped through the roof I was that bloody hyper haha.

For some reason i'm tired as hell now after typing...what?! like 100 characters? haha this is a joke, it's like my brain is playing jokes on me. not fair. :(

But yeah I think i'ma get some video's up soon for my online video diary, that's if i be bothered to film myself talking about the week I just had.

Anyway I think I might make a list of what I have to do for my FMP sketches(planning).

Diary Entry 1 : 5/02/2010

Okay well this is my first diary entry for my final major project and I haven't a clue what to say, if i'm honest with you.

Okay well here I go talking about this last week, Well for a starter I was stressing out because of a university interview. So I spent all weekend re-designing my design's because the size of the image's was incorrect, Then came into college on monday to start preparing my portfolio for wednesday but because I layed the design's out wrong in the actual portfolio I had to restart again on some of the pages, plus I had a problem with one of my designs on the tuesday. My avatar inspired piece came out raven blue rather then jet black, So in my interview I had to example what happened.

On the actual interview day I decided to get up at 6 and leave by 7 to get to swansea because I had been told the traffic would be horrid. People where right the traffic was horrid but the weather was terrible. I could hardly see the road due to the rain but then I start to imagine the roads all being in cartoon and the pylons also being in cartoon but bouncing like jelly at the same time, Which has influenced/inspired to create an illustration piece.

This video helped me a lot to understand typography, It takes you

through the in's and out's of typography basic's.

Master Shortie

Master shortie is one of my inspirational music artists. His music helped me create my FMP name. Okay well his work is most definitely 'ODD' but he keeps his work in the genre's of Dubstep/retro/r'n'b/hiphop. His style is extremely different

he has 'swagga'. He thinks out of the box to create his music video's and the songs themselves.

The video above has elements of 3D screening within it, if I'm honest I think that called 'thinking outside the box'

because he's creating something that really hasn't been done before through a modern music video.

And this video above just shows his oddness and originality.

Master Shortie is a huge inspiration to me, And I will being using his originality

to influence my design's & creativity through out my FMP.
